Our program is founded and lead by Mrs. Hammonds, a retired Teacher and Behavior Specialist who has extensive experience in Special Education, Academic Instruction K-6, and Behavior Management.

Empower Homeschool Hub is specially crafted to meet the needs of all types of learners who struggles in the areas of Reading, Language Arts, and Math. Our tutoring program consists of 1:1 or small groups that tailor learning experiences to meet the unique needs of each student. Our tutoring sessions can serve as either a supplement or substitute for your homeschool reading and math instruction, offering intensive, targeted support on specific skill sets.

Each student in our program is assessed in order to create their personal Individualized Learning Plan. Each student will benefit from an Individualized Learning Plan along with a comprehensive tracking system to monitor their progress. Empower offers various session options to assure ample time is provided for effective intervention and remediation of target skills. Empower follows an eclectic homeschool model, which consists of incorporating various curriculums and homeschooling styles to assure that instruction meets the needs of each individual student; including, but not limited to, direct teaching, concept based, kinesthetic, and/or project based learning in order to master skills.

Empower focus is on building foundational skills through explicit instruction, multi-sensory approaches, and differentiated instruction/activities. A strong emphasis is placed on reading comprehension, fluency, decoding accuracy, vocabulary development, and practical application of math concepts. In addition, providing accommodations as needed to assure students are provided maximum support to achieve mastery of academic skills during each session.

Empower offers a Field-trip/Social co-op which consist of no enrollment or registration fees. Parents must accompany their child on scheduled outings.
